It’s not enough to make it to the jobsite. You have to make it to the right gate, at the right time, with the right crew standing by.
Most delivery plans stop at “delivered to site.” But that’s where the risk begins—because the last mile is where installs get delayed, materials get damaged, or time is lost coordinating staging.
Where last-mile plans fall short:
Driver arrives at Gate 3—install is at Gate 1
No one to unload, no lift team notified
Shipment staged out of sequence, causing jobsite reshuffling
Distributors who control the last mile:
Provide driver contact info and GPS for live updates
Pre-schedule offload crews and confirm install zone staging
Include drop-point maps and shift-ready packaging by elevation or area
Field teams don’t care that the truck showed up. They care that you made their install possible, not harder.
