A Canadian distributor shipped a batch of insulated glass units (IGUs) to a luxury residential tower project. Upon unpacking, several units had fine scratches and blemishes that weren’t visible in the warehouse but were glaring under natural light during installation.

The distributor’s QA system was based on random sample inspection at final pack-out. In this case, no sample from the damaged crate was inspected.
