3. Subordinate Everything Else:

Adjust upstream and downstream processes to support the constraint. For instance, don’t flood the line with standard float orders when a large commercial IGU run is scheduled.

4. Elevate the Constraint:

Invest where it matters—whether that’s automation in CNC shaping or staff training for faster packing and crating.

5. Return to Step 1:

Constraints evolve. A year ago, your bottleneck might have been inventory turns. Today, it might be long lead times on imported mirror stock.
